 Howdy beach punks. Here is an old historical analysis paper from grad school I found recently on the transformation and transmission of cultural elements viewed through the ska subculture. I figured it might help the young'uns out there to remind them of the roots and help pass the genre on to the next generation.

 A little over a month ago I received a message through Myspace from a very excited chap, Tim, from the UK who was developing a saxophone line specifically with the Ska saxophone player in mind. Being a saxophonist in a Ska band, I was intrigued to say the least. Over the following weeks we kept in touch and he gave me updates as to how the project was coming along and eventually he was happy to inform me that he had the altos done and that they would be ready to ship in a matter of weeks.
