» About Us |
Ska Florida Magazine was created to serve the fans and the bands of Florida's Ska community; a community which, up to this point, we feel has been virtually ignored by most mainstream media. We are here to provide a place for fans to keep up with their favorite Ska bands, find Ska bands they may not know of yet, share stories, pictures, and videos, and much more.
Before now, if you wanted to find out where your favorite local Ska band's next show was, or when your favorite national acts were coming to your town, you had to go to all of their Myspace pages individually or rely on word of mouth. Now, you can just come here to Ska Florida Magazine and get all of your news in one place. Along with that, there is also a forum where you can talk with other fans and band members about Ska and other related topics.
For bands, imagine a website you could use where every single member was a potential new fan. You've found it. Upload your profile to the Band Directory, post your upcoming shows, link to your Myspace page and much more. The more you participate, the more you will get out of it.
The bottom line is, we are here to build the Ska scene in the state of Florida. We will provide the content, the tools, and the vehicle; the rest
is up to you. I will always be available personally for any questions, comments or concerns, feel free to contact me any time.
